Plaster fragment from the basilica

The walls of the basilica were brightly painted with rectangular panels imitating expensive marble slabs. Several thousand fragments of this plaster were recovered; the image shows the largest individual piece. It shows the junction of two adjacent panels, red to the left, yellow to the right, with the green-painted strip between them.
