The rear courtyard of 38 North Street

Back to Time Period
The rear courtyard of 38 North Street

Prior to its demolition in 1972 this house retained a classic example of the gallery- and- back-block arrangement, distinctive of the towns of south-west England. To the left is the main house, to the right the kitchen, and to the front of the view the timber-framed gallery which joined the two across a narrow courtyard.
