Tuckers Hall

The hall of the ancient trade guild of the Company of Weavers, Tuckers (i.e. Fullers) and Shearmen stands in Fore Street. It was first built in 1471 as a guild chapel, but used after the Reformation as the meeting place of the guild. It is famed for its superb first floor room with oak panelling of the 1630s and medieval roof.
