A delftware dish

Back to Time Period
A delftware dish

Lobed dishes in this distinctive style were made in the Netherlands but their precise origin is unknown. Some vessels in the same style show King William and Queen Mary so this group of wares is datable to c.1690. This example was found in Goldsmith Street in Exeter, where it was discarded around 1820.
