The bronze medal of the Lower Market

The medal was issued upon the completion of the Lower Market in 1837. The obverse shows the façade with its ground floor of rusticated blocks and supporting a tall upper hall. The reverse shows the city's coat of arms surmounted by the Cap of Maintenance and enclosed within a wreath.
