A coin of Diocletian (reverse)

This bronze coin of the emperor Diocletian, who ruled from AD 284-305, was found in the garden of 39, Pinhoe Road, Exeter, c. 1898. The reverse, seen here, shows the spirit of the Roman people (GENIO POPULI ROMANI). The obverse clearly shows the royal portrait and titles IMP DIOCLETIANVS AVG.
