Boer War ration tin

This unopened ration tin belonged to Private PE Rattenbury who lived in Exeter and belonged to the 1st Rifle Volunteers. The tin was issued for use in an emergency and has two compartments containing food rations. One compartment contains beef extract and the other contains cocoa.
