Hedgeland’s model of Exeter before 1769

The Hedgeland model of Exeter was constructed between 1817 and 1824 by Mr Caleb Hedgeland to record the city as it was during the late 1700s. It is very detailed and is the only record of many buildings and streets which were later demolished. It is one of the earliest surviving models of any town in Britain.
