The museum model of Eastgate

The model was an attempt by the museum in the late 1980s to reconstruct the form of the East gate. Prominent projecting drum towers flank the passageway. At its centre, above the gateway, is the painted Royal Arms and sculpture of Henry VII which survived until 1942. Below ran the Underground Passage.
