A sculpted panel from the Guildhall facade

A sculpted panel from the Guildhall facade

The panel is one of the two depictions of the triple-towered castle, the symbol of the city, which were placed below the columns on the side of the Guildhall building. This too was removed in 1970, when it was deemed too weathered to be retained in the fabric.
