A dish of Tuscan maiolica from Goldsmith Street

The sherds come from a saucer-dish skilfully painted with a dense floral pattern with a series of interlocking lobes. The style and technique show that this is another piece of maiolica from Tuscany, perhaps also from Montelupo. It dates to c.1520-50 and was found in a context of c.1550.
