Helmet

This helmet is a modern replica of a type known as the lobster pot helmet which was most frequently worn by cavalrymen. This example is based on contintnental helmets called zischagge.

Despite the protection they provided, most foot soldiers fought without the use of a helmet. They were expensive to produce and very heavy to wear.
