A lustreware dish from Valencia

This tin-glazed dish, formerly painted with golden lustre, was found in Trichay Street. The shadows of the former pattern can be traced and are shown in the line drawing above. The painting, sometimes called the 'thistle pattern', is one of the more popular of Late Valencian lustreware and dates to 1475-1525.
