Princesshay in the 1990s

One of Thomas Sharp's proposals was a pedestrian shopping street aligned upon the cathedral's towers. This was built almost to his plan and was often regarded as one of the most successful aspects of the post-war design. It was demolished in 2005 to make way for the new Princesshay development.
