The canal

Painted by Arthur Shelley at the end of the 19th century or at the beginning of the 20th, the view looks up the canal towards the basin with St Leonard's church spire to the top right and the cathedral on the horizon. It shows the occasional passage of large sailing boats up to the quayside.
