Mosaic fragment found beside Mary Major church

This fragment was found during excavations on Cathedral Green in 1976. It comes from the edge of a room. The coarse tesserae at the bottom are the border. Within this is a cable band made from tesserae of local white limestone, grey siderite and red tiles.
