Late Roman farmyard
Back to Time Period![Late Roman farmyard](/includes/thumb/phpThumb.php?src=/images/objects/Roman_farmyard_Exeter.jpg&w=500)
The view shows the excavation of fourth-century deposits at Trichay Street in 1972-3. The plot lies beside a large stone town house. At this time it appears to have served as a farmyard, with a corn-drier (supported on the stone stacks visible in the image) and other features cut into farmyard mud.
