Woolcombers at work (obverse)
Back to Time Period![Woolcombers at work (obverse)](/includes/thumb/phpThumb.php?src=/images/objects/Golden-Age-Woolcombers-Obverse-Exeter.jpg&w=500)
This farthing token, issued by David Hart of St Thomas in 1666, shows a miniature scene of a house, in front of which are people at work. It is believed to show woolcombers drawing wool through their long-toothed combs. The reverse shows a woolcomb.
