Door at Adelaide Court, St Sidwells

Back to Time Period
Door at Adelaide Court, St Sidwells

The door belongs to the series made by local carpenters in the period 1590-1660. Dated 1654, it formed part of a group of houses built in St Sidwell's at the end of the Civil War.

This ink and watercolour drawing on paper was made by John Gendall at the beginning of the 19th century. The door decayed subsequently and is now lost.
