Old houses in Mary Arches Street

Drawn by F. M. Hayman in 1927 and now demolished, the houses were of the late 17th-century type with oversailing timber-framed facades mixed with side walls of brick. The tower of St Mary Arches church, still standing, is at the centre of the view.
