Waterwheel in Cricklepit Mill

Water power continued to be the driving force of much of the city's industry in Victoria's reign. This mid 19th-century cast iron undershot wheel with attached wooden paddles is an example of the work of Bodley Brothers of Exeter, whose name-plate appears on one ring-casting.
